Technical Workshop: Building Online Investigations Capacity to Address Trafficking in Persons into Cyber-Scam Centres and Related Transnational Crime
April 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Regional Support Office of the Bali Process (RSO), in coordination with Sri Lanka’s National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, is organizing a five-day technical workshop in Colombo, Sri Lanka from March 17-21, 2025, focused on building open-source intelligence (OSINT) capabilities among South Asian law enforcement officers. The workshop aims to support online investigations into cyber-scam centre recruitment and the broader organised crime networks operating cyber-scam centres. Each participating country is invited to nominate five officers working on counter-trafficking investigations, with two participants from each country being selected to attend a subsequent cross-regional advanced workshop planned for May 2025, which will bring together law enforcement officers from South and Southeast Asia to strengthen regional networks and build shared understanding of cyber-scam center operations.
