The RSO Constructive Dialogue is our flagship event, bringing together Bali Process Member and Observer States and Organisations at a Senior Official level for two days of dialogue and knowledge exchange across the Bali Process region.

The Constructive Dialogue serves as a crucial event in the RSO's calendar to engage across the Bali Process membership, to share learning and showcase progress and achievements across the Bali Process membership, and to ensure that we understand and are responsive to member needs and priorities.

Objectives

The objectives of the RSO Constructive Dialogue are to:

  • Facilitate constructive dialogue and provide a space for Member and Observer States and Organisations to reflect on progress achieved over the previous year.
  • Provide an opportunity for the RSO, Bali Process Member and Observer States and Organisations and regional partners and actors to share trends, insights and knowledge, showcasing examples of successful outcomes and case studies of working together and lessons learned.
  • Facilitate a space for Member States to discuss priority concerns and identify future opportunities for cooperation and collective efforts.

RSO 2023 Constructive Dialogue sets out key themes around cross-border relationships

The RSO 2023 Constructive Dialogue brought together some 120 senior officials and representatives across 28 Bali Process Member States and Organisations, 11 Observer States and Organisations and 13 regional partner organisations to discuss effective responses to countering human trafficking and people smuggling—underlined by compassion and common commitment to solutions.
